With the victims of phone phishing scams often left out of pocket, biometric security may ultimately offer banks the best option for eliminating this growing type of fraud.  Last month, Dutch consumer finance protection authority Kifid ordered Rabobank to compensate two phishing scam victims. In separate cases from 2013, the victims had lost a total of €71,000 ($80,000) to telephone scammers who posed as Rabobank employees.
